Little Light is designed for kids and caregivers to learn together in a way that is warm, simple, and interactive. Children are not an interruption to spiritual life; Jesus treats them as people who can receive blessing, ask real questions, and belong in the kingdom of God.
Our first passage this week is .
Mark 10:14–16 · World English Bible
Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these. Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it. He took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

Both passages show Jesus placing a child at the center of the conversation: welcomed, blessed, and held up as the picture of how anyone receives the kingdom of God.
As you prepare, help your child think about what it feels like to be welcomed, listened to, and blessed. In the meeting, families will talk about Jesus’ welcome, practice naming ways we can include others, and give kids room to share their own examples in age-appropriate language.
